Ghana kicks off its medal quest at the Paris 2024 Olympics on July 30, 2024, with Harry Stacy competing in the Men’s 100m swimming Freestyle heat 4. Following him, Joselle Mensah will take part in the Women’s 100m swimming Freestyle heat 6 on July 31.
On August 2, Rose Yeboah, Ghana’s first female high jumper, will represent the nation in the Women’s High Jump. Sprinters Saminu Abdul Rasheed and Benjamin Azamati are set to compete in the Men’s 100m on August 3.
The Men’s 4x100m Relay team, featuring captain Joseph Paul Amoah, Ibrahim Fuseini, Isaac Botsio, and Benjamin Azamati, will race in round 1 on August 8. The team secured their Olympic spot with an impressive season-best of 38.29 seconds during the qualifiers. Team Ghana has demonstrated their readiness, with the country rallying great support for them.
