The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has launched the InvestGhana Podcast, a new digital platform aimed at strengthening investor engagement, promoting business opportunities and enhancing Ghana’s competitiveness as an investment destination in Africa.
The initiative forms part of the Centre’s broader strategy to leverage digital communication tools to attract investment, improve access to market information and showcase Ghana’s economic potential to both local and international investors.
According to the GIPC, the podcast will feature discussions with business executives, investors, industry experts and government officials on issues shaping Ghana’s investment landscape and economic transformation agenda.
The platform will provide insights into investment opportunities across key sectors, including manufacturing, agribusiness, infrastructure, digital technology, entrepreneurship, the creative economy and opportunities arising from the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The podcast will also highlight success stories from businesses operating in Ghana, offering first-hand perspectives on navigating the country’s business environment and the prospects available to prospective investors.
Launching the initiative, Chief Executive Officer of the GIPC, Simon Madjie, described the podcast as a strategic communication tool designed to position Ghana more effectively in an increasingly competitive global investment market.
He noted that countries are adopting innovative approaches to attract capital and that effective storytelling has become an important component of investment promotion.
“Countries are increasingly competing for investment in new ways, making strategic communication essential. The InvestGhana Podcast will share Ghana’s investment narrative, highlight opportunities across sectors, and connect investors to the people, policies and projects driving the country’s growth,” he said.
Mr Madjie explained that the platform would help bridge information gaps by providing investors with timely and accessible insights into policy developments, business opportunities and ongoing economic reforms.
He said the initiative aligns with GIPC’s efforts to modernise investor services and strengthen digital engagement as part of a broader strategy to improve the investment experience in Ghana.
The podcast forms part of a suite of digital transformation initiatives being rolled out by the Centre, including a 24-hour website chat service, an investor roadmap and targeted social media campaigns designed to simplify access to investment-related information.
Industry analysts believe digital engagement platforms such as podcasts are becoming increasingly important tools for investment promotion agencies, enabling them to reach global audiences, build investor confidence and communicate opportunities in a more direct and interactive manner.
The launch comes as Ghana continues efforts to consolidate macroeconomic recovery, attract foreign direct investment and position itself as a gateway for businesses seeking access to regional markets under the AfCFTA framework.
The GIPC expects the InvestGhana Podcast to serve as a platform for showcasing investment opportunities, strengthening investor confidence and amplifying Ghana’s investment story to audiences across Africa and beyond.
