Ghana is set to host President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe on a three-day state visit from April 1 to 3, 2026, signaling a renewed push to boost bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, the two leaders will hold high-level talks at the Peduase Lodge focusing on trade facilitation, investment opportunities, tourism, healthcare, agriculture, and strategies to tackle unemployment and corruption. The discussions are expected to culminate in the signing of Memoranda of Understanding aimed at strengthening economic and commercial linkages.
President Mnangagwa will also tour key Ghanaian projects, including the Sweden Ghana Medical Centre and the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant, offering Zimbabwean investors insights into Ghana’s healthcare innovations and sustainable waste management technologies. The visit is positioned as a strategic platform to promote private sector engagement, identify joint ventures, and expand trade flows between the two nations.
According to the Presidency, the engagement reflects both countries’ commitment to enhancing economic diplomacy and creating a framework for long-term investment partnerships. The visit could unlock opportunities in sectors such as agribusiness, renewable energy, healthcare, and infrastructure, strengthening regional economic integration.
President Mnangagwa is scheduled to depart Ghana on 3 April 2026, leaving behind an agenda designed to accelerate commercial collaboration and deepen economic ties.
