Ghana is set to take center stage in Africa’s financial technology revolution as Accra prepares to host the 14th Edition of the Africa Fintech Summit (AFTS) from October 8-10, 2025.
This landmark event, to be held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), will welcome over 1,500 in-person attendees and more than 3,000 virtual participants from 65+ countries, marking a pivotal moment in Ghana’s digital transformation journey.

The announcement, made at the 4th Ghana Fintech Awards dinner reception at Labadi Beach Hotel, underscores Ghana’s emergence as a fintech powerhouse in Africa. With the country actively driving digital transformation through policy reforms, regulatory support, and technological innovation, the summit presents a unique opportunity to accelerate growth in the financial services sector.

The event will bring together global investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders to discuss trends, showcase innovations, and forge strategic partnerships aimed at reshaping Africa’s digital financial landscape.
A key highlight of the launch event was the signing of a Strategic Partnership Agreement between AFTS, represented by Co-Founder Zekarias Amsalu, and the Ghana Fintech and Payment Association (GFPA), led by CEO Martin Awagah.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen Ghana’s position as a leading fintech hub for attracting foreign investment, fostering innovation, job creation and regulatory advancements.
As Ghana continues to make strides in digital payments, mobile banking, and blockchain adoption, the AFTS 2025 presents a golden opportunity to further integrate fintech solutions into key economic sectors.
