The benchmark GSE Composite Index closed at 6,250.15 points, up 39.87 points from the previous session’s 6,210.28, representing a 27.85% year-to-date gain. The GSE Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI) also advanced, rising to 3,347.77 points after gaining 24.33 points, pushing its year-to-date growth to 40.62%.
Trading activity was buoyant, with a total of 2,622,541 shares exchanged, generating a turnover of approximately GH¢8.04 million. The day’s market capitalization settled at GH¢137.35 billion, reflecting sustained investor interest as the market moves deeper into the year.

The NewGold Exchange Traded Fund (GLD) also contributed to the market’s gains, advancing by GH¢3.17 to close at GH¢362.05. A total of 212 units of the ETF were traded, generating GH¢76,755 in value.
