The Ghana Hubs Network (GHN) has reaffirmed its commitment to building a resilient and inclusive innovation ecosystem.
During a stakeholder dialogue held in Accra, GHN urged both public and private sector stakeholders to align innovation and startup support initiatives with inclusive economic development goals. This comes amid growing calls to leverage innovation hubs as key enablers of youth employment, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation.
GHN emphasized the need for policies that prioritize underserved communities, particularly women, rural entrepreneurs, and persons with disabilities. The network called for funding equity, decentralization of support services, and capacity-building for emerging innovation centers beyond Accra and Kumasi.
The network further encouraged greater collaboration between hubs, government agencies, development partners, and private sector players to unlock new opportunities in agritech, fintech, edtech, and green technologies. This, GHN asserts, is crucial to achieving Ghana’s digital economy goals and enhancing the competitiveness of startups.

Participants also highlighted the urgent need for investment in infrastructure, especially reliable internet and digital tools, to enable the effective operation of hubs across all 16 regions. GHN noted that strong hub infrastructure is vital to nurturing a pipeline of high-potential entrepreneurs and SMEs.
GHN also announced plans to scale up its efforts in areas such as national innovation mapping to identify gaps and opportunities, talent development programmes tailored to regional needs, monitoring and evaluation systems to track impact, and policy dialogue platforms to shape inclusive innovation frameworks.
For investors, donors, and ecosystem builders, the Ghana Hubs Network’s agenda presents viable entry points into regional startup support, impact investment, and private-public partnerships.
