Ghanaian entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers will gather later this month for a business summit focused on improving access to finance, digital transformation and growth opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs), a sector widely viewed as critical to the country’s economic expansion and job creation efforts.
The Ghana Business Growth Summit 2026, organized by AfriMass Network in partnership with Katon and Graphic Business, will be held virtually on June 26 to coincide with World MSME Day, a United Nations-backed observance recognizing the role of small businesses in economic development and employment creation.
The summit comes as many small businesses in Ghana continue to face challenges including limited access to credit, weak digital adoption, business formalization hurdles and constrained growth capital despite accounting for the majority of enterprises in the economy.
Organizers say the event aims to create a platform for startups, business owners, investors, development partners and policymakers to discuss practical solutions for scaling Ghana’s small business sector and strengthening private sector growth.
The summit will focus on areas including investment readiness, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, customer service, entrepreneurship development and sustainable business growth strategies.
Across developing economies, MSMEs are increasingly seen as central to economic resilience and inclusive growth. In Ghana, the sector supports a significant share of employment and informal economic activity, but businesses often struggle to transition from small-scale operations into sustainable growth enterprises.
Speaking ahead of the event, Raymond Smith, founder of AfriMass Network, said stronger support systems for entrepreneurs would be essential to Ghana’s long-term economic prospects.
“The future of Ghana’s economy depends largely on the success of its entrepreneurs and small businesses. MSMEs are not merely participants in economic development; they are drivers of innovation, employment and community transformation. Through the Ghana Business Growth Summit, we seek to provide practical solutions, mentorship opportunities and strategic connections that will help businesses unlock their full potential,” he said.

The event is expected to attract more than 300 participants and will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, mentorship sessions and networking engagements involving business leaders, financial institutions and technology experts.
The summit will also seek to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems in a bid to reduce unemployment, improve productivity and encourage innovation-led growth.
Improved financing access, stronger mentorship networks and increased adoption of digital tools could help Ghanaian MSMEs become more competitive and better positioned to contribute to economic diversification and sustainable development.
The event will be hosted virtually through the Katon Meet app under the theme “The Power of Small: Unlocking the Potential of MSMEs in Ghana.”
