Gebeya Inc., a leading Pan-African Talent Cloud technology company, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with NVIDIA to upskill 50,000 developers across Africa. This initiative aims to address the continent’s AI skills shortage by empowering African developers with NVIDIA certifications, enhancing their capabilities in artificial intelligence, data science, and graphics processing units (GPUs).
Wei Xiao, NVIDIA’s Director of Developer Relations, emphasized the potential of Africa’s growing developer population, noting that the collaboration could position Africa as a global hub for AI expertise. The initiative is expected to drive investments, foster innovation, and increase Africa’s global competitiveness in the tech sector.
Gebeya CEO Amadou Daffe highlighted the collaboration’s importance, stating that it will close the AI skills gap in Africa and centralize fragmented tech communities. By leveraging Gebeya’s Talent Cloud technology and NVIDIA’s AI expertise, the partnership will nurture a robust ecosystem of AI professionals across Africa.

The initiative will be rolled out in phases, starting with a proof of concept in the first year and expanding to all African countries by year three. Developers will gain access to NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Institute for certifications and exclusive benefits, including community events and training.
This collaboration is expected to significantly impact Africa’s tech industry by driving innovation, creating job opportunities, and fostering entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to economic development across the continent.
