Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Mohammed Adam Sukparu, has hailed Dodo Technologies as a leading example of Africa’s technological potential, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting innovators driving the continent’s digital future.
Speaking on behalf of the sector minister, Samuel Nartey George, at the Dodo Summit 2025, he said Dodo’s mission to eliminate fragmented communication reflects the kind of homegrown innovation needed to advance national development and strengthen global competitiveness.
According to Sukparu, many governments and enterprises still rely on scattered communication systems, with emails, messages, calls, and customer interactions split across unlinked platforms. This fragmentation, he noted, slows productivity and undermines efforts to deliver seamless services.
He commended Dodo Technologies, founded by young Ghanaians, for developing a unified communication ecosystem that integrates internal operations, external engagements, and public interactions onto one intelligent platform. He said the initiative strongly aligns with Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.
The Deputy Minister also noted the growing role of artificial intelligence in reshaping global industries, describing it as a major opportunity for Africa. He said products such as Dodo Workplace, Messenger, Omni, Widget, and its AI infrastructure were proof that African innovators are not merely catching up but creating world-class solutions tailored to local needs.
Sukparu pointed to the company’s partnerships with telecom operators, infrastructure providers, and data centres as an example of how collaboration strengthens national digital development.
He mentioned the Dodo Academy as a critical platform for nurturing future engineers, AI specialists, and digital creators, adding that empowering young people is essential to sustaining Africa’s digital momentum.
He urged business leaders, policymakers, and innovators to support the vision of a connected continent “where communication is seamless, data is meaningful, and technology drives economic progress.”
Sukparu congratulated Dodo Technologies for leading a new wave of African digital innovation and assured the company of the Ministry’s readiness to continue partnering with local technology firms addressing national challenges.
