Dan-Afari Yeboah, the esteemed quizmaster of the popular GTV quiz show ‘What Do You Know?’, has announced his intention to claim full ownership of the show in the near future.
Yeboah, who has moderated the show for over four decades, has recently expressed his desire to transition the production responsibilities from the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to himself. This decision comes after years of hosting the show, which initially started with only one sponsor who has since exited. Yeboah plans to revitalize the show by introducing new sponsorship opportunities.
In an interview with Joy Prime’s Roselyn Felli on the Prime Morning show, Yeboah shared his vision for the show’s future. “Many people ask this question, and I think that it will facilitate my desire now to see how we can go and take it. In a fullness of time, which will soon arrive, we must take hold of the programme,” he said.
Despite his longstanding role, Yeboah has faced challenges in acquiring full control of the show. He explained that his dual career as a practicing lawyer has limited his ability to focus solely on the show. Additionally, he cited dissatisfaction with his current remuneration as another factor, though he remains committed due to his passion for the quiz.

Yeboah assured viewers and stakeholders of his integrity, emphasizing that he has never been approached to leak questions to contestants. “They know the capacity, reputation, and durability of the quizmaster in terms of integrity, and they dare not. Honestly speaking, nobody has approached me because they know the manner in which I conduct myself and the programme,” he stated.
He believes that any unethical behavior would undermine the show’s integrity and purpose. Yeboah praised the consistency and dedication of the show’s team, which has maintained its relevance and success over the years.

‘What Do You Know?’ is a flagship program on GTV, celebrated for nearly fifty years. Yeboah’s tenure as quizmaster, which spans around forty years, has significantly contributed to the show’s widespread recognition and popularity.
