The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has concluded a three-day national Cyberdrill aimed at enhancing Ghana’s cybersecurity preparedness and response capacity.
Organised in collaboration with the Forum for Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) and the Shadow Server Foundation, the exercise formed part of activities marking the 2025 National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM).
Held under the theme “Building a Safe, Informed and Accountable Digital Response Ecosystem,” the Cyberdrill brought together Sectoral Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs), licensed managed cybersecurity service providers, and accredited cybersecurity establishments to test their collective response to simulated cyber incidents.
The three-day exercise focused on cyber threat intelligence and incident response, helping participants refine their technical skills, strengthen coordination, and evaluate their operational readiness against the growing complexity and frequency of cyberattacks.
According to the Authority, the national Cyberdrill represents a key step in Ghana’s broader strategy to safeguard its digital infrastructure and promote coordinated threat management across critical sectors.
The CSA noted that the initiative “reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to building a resilient, coordinated, and intelligence-driven response framework for Ghana’s digital ecosystem.”
As cyber threats continue to evolve globally, the CSA’s Cyberdrill is part of Ghana’s proactive approach to cybersecurity governance and its readiness to collaborate with international partners to enhance national and regional cyber resilience.
