B5 Plus Limited, one of Ghana’s leading iron and steel manufacturing and trading companies, has paid more than GH¢1 billion in taxes to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) between January and September 2026.
The company, headquartered in Tema, manufactures and supplies a wide range of iron and steel products, including iron rods, steel plates, pipes, beams, channels and wire mesh. It also provides pre-engineered structures and serves construction and industrial projects across Ghana and other West African markets.
B5 Plus’ tax contribution was highlighted during a top management engagement with the GRA, where Commissioner of the Domestic Tax Revenue Division, Dr. Martin Kolbil Yamborigya, commended the company for what he described as exemplary tax compliance.
Dr. Yamborigya said taxes paid by businesses such as B5 Plus contribute directly to national development, including the financing of roads, schools, healthcare, security and social interventions.
He urged other businesses and individuals to emulate the company by meeting their tax obligations and supporting efforts to strengthen domestic revenue mobilisation.
The GRA also encouraged taxpayers to file their returns accurately and on time, while consumers were urged to demand VAT invoices for purchases as part of efforts to improve tax compliance and accountability.
B5 Plus’ over GH¢1 billion tax contribution in nine months underscores the role of compliant businesses in strengthening domestic revenue mobilisation and supporting Ghana’s development agenda.
