Chief Executive of Agri-Impact Group, Daniel Fahene Acquaye, is urging Ghanaian youth to broaden their perspective on agriculture by exploring non-traditional opportunities beyond primary farming.
Mr. Acquaye emphasized that agribusiness holds vast, often-untapped potential across areas such as agritech, logistics, marketing, and value chain coordination.
He highlighted how digital tools and improved global market access are transforming agriculture into a dynamic sector for entrepreneurship, employment, and inclusive economic growth.
“We want young people to open their minds to the various vocations in agriculture and not only going into production,” he said,
He acknowledged that while farming plays a critical role in rural employment, it is just one part of a much larger ecosystem.
According to Mr. Acquaye, the future of agriculture will be shaped by innovators who can apply technology across the value chain to drive food security, boost exports, and power Ghana’s economic transformation.
