The Africa Tech Festival, scheduled for November 10–13, 2025, in Cape Town, South Africa, is set to bring together leading experts to explore the most pressing challenges and opportunities shaping the continent’s digital economy. As Africa’s digital landscape continues to evolve, the event is set to drive conversations on innovation, connectivity, and economic growth.
The event will be steered by a high-profile Leadership Council composed of key figures from the technology, business, and investment sectors.
James Williams, the festival’s event director, highlighted the importance of the newly established Leadership Council in shaping discussions and ensuring meaningful engagement. The council includes a diverse group of professionals from leading organizations, such as Brelotte Ba, deputy CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa; Antoinette Kwofie, CFO of MTN Ghana; and Charles Murito, regional director at Google.
“Africa Tech Festival serves as a platform for connection, collaboration, and innovation across the continent. With the guidance of our Leadership Council, we will continue to curate an event that drives impactful conversations, supports industry growth, and fosters Africa’s position as a global technology leader,” said Williams.
Among other key members joining the council are Bunmi Adeleye, chief strategy officer at Retail Supermarkets Nigeria (Shoprite Nigeria), and Faith Burn, CIO of Eskom. Senior executives from major corporations, including Standard Bank, Microsoft Africa, and Telkom SA, will also play a role.
These industry leaders will provide strategic direction on vital topics such as connectivity, artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, and the future of digital infrastructure across the continent.
