Africa 2100 continues its mission to empower African entrepreneurs with the inauguration of its second Foundation Readiness Program (FRP) cohort. Following the success of the first cohort, this group embarks on an intensive 12-week journey designed to refine their business ideas, enhance their skills, and prepare them to tackle Africa’s most pressing challenges. Alongside this milestone, the organization has strengthened its leadership by appointing Capt. Prince Kofi Amoabeng, Rtd., to its Board of Advisors, bringing decades of expertise in corporate governance and strategic planning.
The first cohort’s achievements set a high bar for this new group. On September 19, 2024, nine entrepreneurs showcased their innovative solutions during a dynamic demo day in Accra. Under the theme “Providing Enterprise Support to Start-ups and Entrepreneurs in Africa,” the event highlighted groundbreaking ideas in agriculture, healthcare, and sustainable transportation. Startups like Green Africa and Alex Akande Farms demonstrated not just innovation but also actionable plans to address real-world problems. The demo day, attended by industry leaders and potential investors, underscored Africa 2100’s commitment to nurturing talent and driving sustainable development.
The second cohort will follow a robust program that combines hands-on training, personalized mentorship, and opportunities to pitch their business ideas to investors. Participants will receive practical education in core business areas such as marketing, finance, and operations while engaging with seasoned entrepreneurs and industry leaders. The goal is to equip these entrepreneurs with the confidence, skills, and networks needed to transform their ideas into impactful ventures.

Capt. Prince Kofi Amoabeng’s appointment as a member of the Board of Advisors adds a new dimension to Africa 2100’s leadership. Widely respected for his role in founding Unique Trust Financial Services and his contributions to Ghana’s financial sector, Amoabeng brings invaluable insights into corporate governance and strategic planning. His addition to the board signals Africa 2100’s commitment to robust oversight and long-term growth. “I am honored to join Africa 2100 in empowering entrepreneurs to drive change across the continent,” Amoabeng said. “Africa’s potential lies in the ingenuity and determination of its youth.”

The launch of the second cohort builds on the momentum generated by the first, expanding Africa 2100’s reach and impact. With workshops now taking place in Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya, the organization continues to fulfill its mission of transforming lives through entrepreneurship. The program’s graduates not only gain practical tools and resources but also become part of a growing community dedicated to shaping Africa’s future.
As the second cohort begins its journey, Africa 2100 reaffirms its vision to foster innovation, collaboration, and resilience. By combining a structured program with leadership expertise like that of PK Amoabeng, the initiative is laying the groundwork for sustainable growth and economic transformation across the continent. These efforts highlight the power of entrepreneurship as a force for change, turning challenges into opportunities and unlocking the vast potential of Africa’s next generation.
