The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) has announced that the Minister of State in charge of Finance Abena Osei Asare has stepped down as a Non-Executive Director of the bank, effective August 7, 2024. Her departure comes after six years of service.
Mrs. Osei-Asare joined the ADB PLC Board of Directors in August 2018 and made significant contributions during her tenure, notably as Chair of the Risk Committee, the Bank said.
Her recent appointments to the Board of the Bank of Ghana and the Financial Stability Council have prompted her resignation from ADB PLC, as she can no longer fulfill her role as a Director.
The Board Chairman of ADB, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, commended Mrs. Osei-Asare for her valuable contributions to the bank’s growth and success.
Founded in 1965, the Agricultural Development Bank PLC is a leader in agribusiness financing in Ghana, boasting a wide network of 87 branches nationwide, but has been going through some challenges in recent years.
