This three-day event aims to raise awareness about the benefits of coconut cultivation and promote Ghana’s growing presence in the global coconut industry.
At the launch, Mr. Sam Dentu, Deputy CEO for Operations and Finance at the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), underscored the festival’s importance in positioning Ghana as a key player in the international coconut market. He highlighted the sector’s potential to significantly contribute to the nation’s export revenue and urged stakeholders across the value chain to collaborate and innovate for the industry’s growth.
The festival will gather local and international investors, processors, and exporters from the coconut industry. Attendees will participate in exhibitions, workshops, and networking opportunities focused on sharing best practices and promoting sustainable farming techniques.

Prominent figures present at the launch included Mr. Davies Korboe, Chairman of the African Coconut Group, and representatives from the Western Regional Minister’s Office, Tree Crops Development Authority, Mr. Daniel Ofosu Adjei, and Emmanuel Afriyie Owusu. They reiterated their commitment to supporting the growth of the sector, stressing the role of public-private partnerships in driving its development.

Organized by the African Coconut Group and GEPA, with support from the Tree Crops Development Authority, EXIMBank, and Solidaridad, this year’s festival will spotlight innovations within the coconut industry and explore export opportunities to further diversify Ghana’s economy. As global demand for coconut products rises, the festival offers Ghana a chance to enhance its standing as a top producer and exporter of high-quality coconut products.
